Campsis Madame Galen is a fast growing, deciduous climber renowned for both its foliage and flowers. The showy flowers are tubular, red-orange, and borne in loose clusters from summer through autumn. The foliage is lush and dark green and develops yellow and orange tones in autumn before falling. Left untrimmed this climber can reach 15 m tall but it is easily contained to smaller sizes with trimming. It performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site, and it is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. Campsis Madame Galen makes an attractive climber and is particularly well suited to situations where a fast growing, attractive plant is required to cover a fence, trellis, or the like. This colourful plant is also great for planting around outdoor living areas.
