Bougainvillea 'Carmencita'

How to grow Bougainvillea 'Carmencita' in NZ

Bougainvillea 'Carmencita' grows best in full sun and free-draining soil. Choose a warm, sheltered site such as a north-facing wall or courtyard. Water regularly during establishment, then sparingly once mature, as Bougainvilleas prefer slightly dry conditions. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth. In frost-prone areas, grow it in a container that can be moved indoors during winter for protection.
