How to grow Mandarin ‘Kawano’ in NZ

Plant in a sunny, sheltered spot with free-draining, fertile soil enriched with compost. Protect young plants from frost and strong winds. Water consistently during flowering and fruiting, and mulch to retain soil moisture and reduce weed competition. In colder areas, grow in a large container that can be moved to a frost-free position during winter.
