“Set Oliver” is a succulent that forms a rosette of “furry” green leaves edged with red. As conditions cool or the plant becomes moisture stressed, the intensity of red often increases. Stems bearing clusters of red flowers tipped with yellow are produced during summer and add extra interest to this lovely plant. This succulent typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in a full sun position on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, coastal conditions, and extended dry periods. This Echeveria makes for a great pot plant and is often used in rock gardens, or grown anywhere something hardy and a little unusual is wanted. The wonderful leaf texture and colour makes this plant stand out.
