Daffodil Barrett Browning
“Barrett Browning” is a variety of Daffodil that features white flowers with an orange centre. The showy blooms are borne on slender stems from mid-spring above the lush, grass-like foliage. The combination of flowers and dark green leaves is impressive and lets you know spring has arrived. This perennial plant typically grows to 40 cm tall and 20 cm wide, performing best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry, frost, cool climates, and will die back during these times to regrow when conditions start to warm. “Barrett Browning” is commonly included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, used in border plantings, planted around the base of deciduous trees and shrubs, or maintained in a container. A mass planting is a must with this variety with bulbs spaced 15-20 cm apart and planted 8-10 cm deep.
