Punica granatum 'Nana', commonly known as the Dwarf Pomegranate, is a deciduous shrub that grows to about 1 m tall and the same wide. It is not only small in stature, but even the flowers and fruit are dwarfed. The foliage emerges bronze, ages to green, then develops yellow tones before falling. It produces attractive orange-red flowers, which are followed by bright orange fruit, even on young plants. The fruit in summer is quite flavoursome. Punica granatum 'Nana' is perfect for container growing, bonsai, or mixed planting, and is also suitable for growing simply for its fruit.
