Cranberry Sungold carries pale pink-white flowers in spring which are followed by 1-2 cm diameter fruits in autumn. The fruit on this cranberry bush are medium red in colour and have a pleasant flavour. The plant itself grows as a trailing, evergreen with leaves that are variegated with yellow and green. It usually reaches 25 cm tall and will spread 1.5 m wide and performs best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is generally regarded as being cold hardy and tolerant of moderate frost once established. Cranberry Sungold is commonly used as a groundcover, maintained in a container, or planted specifically for fruit production.
