Why Choose Carpet Roses?

Carpet roses have become a favourite for gardeners seeking a hassle-free yet stunning solution for ground cover. These roses flower profusely from late spring through autumn, offering continuous waves of colour. Once established, they’re exceptionally hardy, drought tolerant, and self-cleaning, meaning less work for you.

Their resilience makes them ideal for New Zealand’s varied climates; they cope well with both coastal and inland conditions. Aside from their stunning looks, carpet roses also help suppress weeds, reduce erosion, and act as a living mulch in the landscape.

Popular Carpet Rose Varieties Available

At our nursery, you can find a fabulous range of carpet roses to suit every taste and garden style. Looking for rich, cherry-red blooms? Rose 'Flower Carpet Mini Cherry' is a standout for vivid colour in smaller spaces or container plantings. If you prefer an elegant, pure white display, Rose 'Flower Carpet White' creates striking contrast and brightens shadier spots beautifully.

For those preferring classic deep reds, Rose 'Flower Carpet Red' offers a carpet of classic colour ideal for mass plantings or borders. Soft pink tones more your style? Rose 'Flower Carpet Apple Blossom' charms with its delicate pastel hues, while Rose Flower Carpet Pink Splash adds a playful, multi-toned effect perfect for informal gardens.
