The tree fuchsia plant commonly refers to Fuchsia excorticata (Tree Fuchsia), New Zealand’s tallest native fuchsia and one of the country’s most unique native trees. Unlike its shrubby relatives, the tree fuchsia can reach heights of 10 to 12 metres, offering a beautiful canopy and distinctive, shredding bark.
