Tips for Growing Red Roses in New Zealand

Success with red roses starts with a sunny site and fertile, well-drained soil. Water deeply during dry spells, and mulch in spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune annually in late winter to promote strong growth and prolific flowering. Feed roses with a balanced fertiliser and keep an eye out for aphids and fungal spots, treating early if needed. With the right care, your red roses will reward you with luscious blooms season after season.
