Why Choose Native Plant Fertiliser for Pittosporum Silver Sheen?

Native Plant Fertiliser is expertly blended for New Zealand natives like Pittosporum Silver Sheen. These popular shrubs demand a balanced approach—rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, but gentle enough to avoid burning sensitive roots. The formulation encourages rapid establishment, strong foliage, and robust root systems. It’s also slow-release, so nutrients feed your Pittosporum continuously, keeping leaves glossy and vibrant all season. Apply in early spring for strong new growth, and again in autumn to prepare plants for cooler months.

How to Apply Pittosporum Silver Sheen Fertilizer

To achieve the best results, spread Native Plant Fertiliser around the base of the plant, keeping it clear of direct contact with stems. Water in well, so nutrients reach the roots quickly—especially before dry spells. For newly planted Pittosporum, fertilizing ensures rapid settling and healthy development. For established Silver Sheen hedges or specimens, a yearly top-up maintains density and colour. If you’re transplanting, using 5 Litre Thermoformed Plant Pots or 1 Litre Thermoformed Plant Pots and blending fertilizer into the mix will give young plants a head start.
