Pieris japonica Snowdrift is a striking evergreen shrub known for its elegant, cascading clusters of white bell-shaped flowers that appear in late winter to early spring. Also called Lily of the Valley shrub, Snowdrift offers year-round interest with glossy, dark green leaves and brilliant new foliage that emerges bronze-red before maturing. This versatile plant is a popular choice in New Zealand gardens for woodland borders, shady garden beds, and mixed containers, where it adds delicate structure and reliable seasonal colour.

Pieris Snowdrift is an attractive shrub grown for both its year-round appeal. This compact, rounded shrub carries chains of green-white flower buds that open into pure white flowers. The flowers are mildly fragrant and are produced from winter through spring. The new foliage is bronze but matures to become leathery, glossy, and dark green as it grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide. Pieris Snowdrift makes for a superb specimen in a small garden and is well suited to growing in a container, adding to mixed plantings, formal gardens, for border planting, or planting around the barbecue area.
