For enthusiasts seeking complementary colour in their gardens, consider pairing your mail order rose bushes with our other standout selections. Hemerocallis Rose Cherub (Rose Daylily) delivers show-stopping rose-pink flowers and easy-going maintenance, while the rich foliage and vibrant blooms of Weigela Wine And Roses (Wine & Roses Weigela) make a bold backdrop for your rose displays.

Tips for Planting and Caring for Mail Order Rose Bushes

When your mail order rose bushes arrive, the first step is to give them a good drink before planting. Choose a sunny, well-drained spot in your garden and enrich the soil with plenty of compost. Roses appreciate regular watering, especially when young or during dry spells. Mulching helps retain moisture and suppress weeds, giving your rose bushes the best start.

Routine feeding with a specialised rose fertiliser encourages strong growth and abundant blooms. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the season and keep your plants productive. Regular checks for pests or diseases keep your garden healthy and thriving.

Add Complimentary Plants for Vibrant Colour

With your collection of mail order rose bushes established, it’s easy to create vibrant, eye-catching combinations. Bring even more interest to your landscape by also planting Portulaca Pazzaz Sunset (Moss Rose Plant), known for its drought tolerance and vivid sunset-hued blossoms. Or, add year-round structure and spring flowers with the striking Rhododendron 'Java Rose'.
