Why Choose Large Feijoa Trees?

Large feijoa trees offer several benefits to home orchardists and landscapers. Because of their advanced growth, you’ll enjoy earlier and heavier crops, plus the privacy and shelter that mature evergreen foliage provides. These established trees adapt quicker to new locations, making them ideal if you need a reliable screen or want quicker returns on your edible investment. Feijoas are well-suited to the New Zealand climate, withstanding coastal conditions, cold snaps, and even light frosts once settled.

Growing Tips and Uses for Large Feijoa Trees

Plant your large feijoa tree in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil for optimal growth and fruiting. Mulch well, water deeply during dry spells, and prune lightly each year to encourage airflow and healthy new shoots. Feijoas are beloved for their versatility in the kitchen—use the aromatic fruit for eating fresh, bottling, baking, or in jams and chutneys.
