Why Choose Large Bay Trees?

Large bay trees are well known for their dense, deep-green foliage and neat growth habit. Besides their classic ornamental value, bay trees are prized for their culinary use — bay leaves are a staple in Mediterranean and New Zealand kitchens. Mature bay trees thrive in pots or planted beds, displaying an impressive structure that can withstand trimming and creative topiary. Their resilience and low maintenance make them a practical choice for both novice and experienced gardeners.

Our Selection of Mature Bay Trees

We specialise in large bay trees for sale, offering healthy, well-established specimens that are ready to make an immediate impact in your outdoor space. From solitary feature trees to tall screens for privacy, our mature bay trees are grown with care and attention to ensure robust growth and lush, aromatic foliage from the day they arrive. Our large bay trees are sourced for quality and acclimatised to New Zealand conditions, ensuring long-term performance and beauty.

Uses for Large Bay Trees in Your Garden

The uses for large bay trees go far beyond flavouring your favourite dishes. These trees are highly adaptable and can serve as impressive standalone features, formal hedging, or even stunning topiary standards. You might also enjoy their evergreen presence in large planter pots flanking an entranceway. For those seeking alternative evergreens or statement trees to complement their bays, consider the architectural grandeur of Sequoiadendron giganteum (Sequoia gigantea Tree), or the unique form of Liriodendron tulipifera.

Explore Related Bay Tree Varieties

Beyond our large bay trees for sale, discover a range of Laurus nobilis cultivars for your garden or landscape project. The classic Laurus nobilis is ideal for hedging and topiary, offering the spice and fragrance bay trees are famous for. If you prefer a narrower, more upright form, Laurus nobilis angustifolia brings a refined silhouette, suiting tighter spaces or formal designs. For those seeking a robust culinary variety with Mediterranean flair, Laurus nobilis Pride of Provence is a favourite among foodies and chefs.
