hellebore winter rose
The hellebore winter rose is a treasured perennial for New Zealand gardeners who crave colour and life when little else is blooming. Known for their elegant, nodding blooms that appear from late autumn through to early spring, hellebores are valued for both their beauty and their resilience. These shade-loving gems light up the winter garden with stunning whites, pinks, burgundies, and even speckled or double forms. With low maintenance needs, excellent longevity, and resistance to pests and deer, hellebores are ideal for shady borders, under deciduous trees, or in containers by the patio where their unique flowers can be enjoyed up close.
