Subtropical Fruit Plants for Kiwi Gardens

For those looking to try something different, subtropical fruit plants provide an exotic twist to your home orchard. Choosing and Growing Fruit Plants

When you choose fruit plants for sale from our nursery, you’re getting varieties that are selected for New Zealand’s unique climate and growing conditions. Before planting, consider your local weather, available space, and the level of care you can provide. Many fruit trees and bushes prefer sheltered spots with full sun and well-drained soil. Regular watering, mulching, and seasonal pruning help ensure generous crops year after year.

Companion planting is also worth considering. Pairing your fruit trees with sheltering natives like Coprosma repens (Mirror Plant) can create a windbreak, improving pollination and fruit yield, while also adding visual interest and native biodiversity to your garden.
