Why Choose Fruit and Nut Trees for Your Garden?

Planting fruit and nut trees brings both beauty and bounty to your landscape. These trees offer seasonal interest — with blossoms in spring, lush foliage in summer, and colourful fruits and nuts in autumn. Many trees are surprisingly easy to grow in New Zealand, thriving in a range of regions from Northland to Otago. Fruit and nut trees provide fresh food, shade, and habitat for birds and pollinators, making them a smart and eco-friendly investment.

Nut Trees for Sale: From Hazelnut to Macadamia

If you’re searching specifically for nut trees, we stock a diverse range suited to New Zealand conditions. Hazelnut trees are a top choice for cooler climates; the stately Corylus colurna creates an impressive landscape feature while yielding sweet, nutritious nuts. Pecans are another crowd favourite — our Pecan carya 'Peruque' and Pecan carya 'Lucas' varieties produce excellent nuts and grow vigorously, even in cooler parts of the country. Macadamia trees are ideal for northern gardens; the attractive Macadamia 'Beaumont' offers glossy foliage, beautiful flowers, and rich, buttery nuts.

Fruit Trees for Every Kiwi Home

Fruit trees make a stunning addition to any backyard or orchard. Whether you’re keen on traditional apples and pears or something more exotic, our collection ensures you’ll find fruit trees suited to your soil and sun exposure. Most fruit trees require only basic care and reward you year after year with plentiful harvests. Pairing fruit trees with nut varieties gives you a longer, more varied picking season and a continuous supply of healthy snacks.

Ornamental and Dual-Purpose Trees

Some fruit and nut trees deliver more than just food; they elevate your garden’s aesthetics with striking shapes, colourful blooms, and lush greenery. The handsome Aesculus carnea is a great example, offering vibrant flowers and stately form in addition to its nuts. Mixing edible and ornamental trees creates a layered, multi-functional garden that’s as beautiful as it is productive.
