Why Choose Evergreen Fruit Trees for NZ Gardens?

Evergreen fruit trees NZ gardeners love offer a unique combination of form and function. Unlike deciduous trees, evergreens keep their leaves all year round, providing privacy screening, shelter, and greenery even during the colder months. They’re particularly well-suited to New Zealand’s mild winters and temperate regions, adapting well to our soils and microclimates. Their year-round foliage also means they continue photosynthesising and growing, resulting in strong, healthy trees and consistent fruit production.

Top Evergreen Fruit Trees NZ Gardeners Grow

Several excellent evergreen fruit trees thrive in New Zealand conditions. Here are some of the best options for your landscape or orchard:

Planting different avocado varieties can improve cross-pollination and fruit set, ensuring a more plentiful harvest.
