Why Choose Corokia Plants?

Corokia shrubs are hardy, evergreen natives renowned for their resilience and low-maintenance nature. Their intricate, twiggy structure offers both visual appeal and practical benefits such as shelter and privacy. Many homeowners and landscapers use corokia plants for informal hedges, screens, or as specimen features. In the spring, small yellow star-shaped flowers draw in pollinators, followed by red or yellow berries that attract native birds.

Corokia tolerates a wide range of soil types and coastal conditions, making it well-suited to the varying climates across New Zealand. Their adaptability and strong performance in exposed sites have made corokia a popular choice for both urban and rural planting projects.

Our Corokia Collection

We stock an outstanding range of corokia plants for sale, including some of the most sought-after varieties. Each has unique features for different landscape needs. Popular options include:

Growing and Using Corokia

Corokia plants are well suited for planting as hedges, living fences, or mass plantings. They can be clipped for a tidy formal look or left to grow naturally for a wilder aesthetic. For best results, plant your corokia in well-drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Occasional trimming will help your hedge maintain its shape and density.

Water regularly during the first year to help your new plants establish robust root systems. Once established, corokia is exceptionally drought-tolerant and may only need supplemental watering during extended dry spells.
