Why Choose Climbing Rose Bushes?

Climbing rose bushes are the ultimate garden multitaskers. They cover unsightly structures, soften hard landscaping, and create romantic outdoor rooms with their arching canes and abundant blossoms. Whether you’re searching for classic pinks, sunny yellows, or cascading whites, our climbing rose bushes for sale deliver colour, scent, and vitality throughout the flowering season.

Our Favourite Climbing Roses

Our curated range features standout climbers for every taste and garden size. For a delicate, old-world charm, the Rose Cecil Brunner is famed for its petite, blush-pink blooms and sweet perfume—a classic for archways and trellises. The Rose Albertine brings vibrant salmon-pink flowers and an intoxicating scent, perfect for training along fences or garden sheds.

For those after a burst of yellow, Rosa banksiae 'Lutea' (Banksia Rose) offers masses of soft yellow, double flowers with virtually thornless stems, making it ideal for family gardens. Alternatively, Rosa banksiae 'Alba' (Banksia Rose) produces sprays of delicate white blooms and is renowned for both its vigour and its ease of care.

Looking for something uniquely New Zealand? Rose Ann Turner is bred locally and thrives in our climate, delivering striking colour and resilience. Every rose bush in our collection is carefully propagated to ensure robust growth and abundant flowering.

Tips for Planting and Caring for Climbing Roses

Climbing rose bushes thrive in sunny locations with well-drained soil. Position your plants where they receive at least six hours of sunlight daily, and amend the soil with compost before planting for the strongest start. Secure the canes as they grow, encouraging horizontal growth to promote more blooms. Regular feeding and deep watering during dry spells will keep your climbing roses happy and healthy.

Pruning is key: remove old or weak stems after flowering and train new canes to your support structures. This not only shapes your rose bush but also stimulates fresh growth and abundant flowering in the next season.
