Magnolia Strawberry Fields is a stunning deciduous tree that bears masses of large and showy, semi-double, deep red flowers through late winter and early spring which are borne on the naked stems before the foliage emerges. It typically grows to 8 m tall and 4 m wide and can easily be contained with trimming. Magnolia Strawberry Fields is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, included in cottage gardens, or planted as a backdrop for smaller plants.

Plagianthus regius subsp. regius, commonly known as Houi or lowland ribbonwood, is a fast-growing, deciduous New Zealand native tree. It features light green foliage and a graceful, spreading form that can reach 10–15 metres tall. Small, fragrant cream flowers appear in spring and attract native birds and insects. Houi is tolerant of wind and light frost and thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. It’s ideal for shelterbelts, riparian planting, and native revegetation projects.
