Why Buy Scentimental Rose for Your Garden

People across New Zealand choose to buy Scentimental rose plants for their distinct two-tone colouring and the powerful perfume that fills the air. These roses combine beauty with performance, offering excellent disease resistance and strong, upright growth. The Scentimental rose's blooms appear in flushes, making it perfect for cutting and displaying indoors. Its waxy petals hold up well even in varying NZ climates, while the bush reaches a manageable height of about 1 metre—ideal for garden beds, borders, or large containers.

Planting and Growing Tips for Scentimental Rose

For best results after you buy Scentimental rose, select a sunny, well-drained position in your garden. Roses thrive in areas with at least six hours of sunlight. Incorporate compost or aged manure when planting to give your Scentimental rose a robust start. Consistent watering is important during dry spells, especially in the first year. Regular deadheading will encourage the plant to flower prolifically, and a winter prune will keep your Scentimental rose healthy and attractive for years.

Stunning Companions to Scentimental Rose

The Scentimental rose pairs wonderfully with many other garden favourites, helping you create a visually captivating and fragrant display. Consider planting alongside Rose Honor for an elegant white contrast, or introduce the bold purple hues of Rose Blackberry Nip to deepen your border’s colour palette. For fans of classic pinks, Rose 'Desiree' makes a graceful companion to Scentimental’s dramatic stripes. You can also add aromatic texture with lavender—try Lavender 'Sensation Rose', whose soft mauve flowers and silvery foliage pair beautifully with Scentimental's blooms. If you’re after a low, vibrant groundcover to contrast those upright rose stems, Portulaca Pazzaz Yellow (Yellow Portulaca) delivers brilliant summer colour and thrives in sunny spots.
