Why Buy Pear Tree for Your Garden?

Growing your own pear tree means enjoying crisp, juicy fruit straight from the branch. Pear trees are considerably hardy, tolerant of New Zealand’s varied conditions, and have minimal requirements once established. Planting a pear tree enhances your landscape’s aesthetics, attracts pollinators, and provides shade. Many gardeners also appreciate their versatility—use pears for snacking, baking, preserving, or even cider making. Pear trees are rewarding additions whether you’re a novice or a seasoned gardener.

Tips for Buying and Growing Pear Trees

When you buy pear tree stock from us, you'll receive healthy, robust nursery-grown plants. Choose a sunny, well-drained site for your tree, and allow space for growth. Most pear trees prefer a pollination partner, so consider planting two compatible varieties—such as pairing Pear Conference with Pear Taylors Gold—to ensure a generous crop. Our double-grafted tree, Pear Doyenne du Comice & Conference (Double Grafted Pear Trees), makes this easy.
