Why Choose an Indoor Fig Tree?

There are many reasons to buy indoor fig tree varieties. Figs from the Ficus family are renowned for their resilience and adaptability, making them an excellent choice for beginners and experienced plant owners alike. Their glossy, broad leaves can soften any interior while their upright growth habit offers structure in minimalist or boho-style rooms. Indoor fig trees also naturally help to purify the air, filtering out common volatile compounds and improving indoor air quality.

Popular Indoor Fig Tree Varieties

Whether you’re seeking a bold centrepiece or a subtle companion for your windowsill, our nursery supplies a range of spectacular indoor fig trees. Some of our favourite varieties include:

With so many choices, you’ll easily find an indoor fig to suit your style, space, and care level.

How to Care for Your Indoor Fig Tree

After you buy indoor fig tree varieties from our nursery, looking after them is effortless. Provide your tree with bright, indirect light—a spot near an east or north-facing window is ideal. Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry, but avoid letting the pot sit in water. Figs appreciate consistent temperatures and occasional misting, which mimics their natural humid environment.

If you’re selecting a fig variety for deeper shadows or larger spaces, Ficus robusta and Ficus elastica 'Melany' are particularly adaptable and forgiving for a range of conditions.
