Plant Care Tips

Caring for your bird of paradise is simple. They prefer well-draining soil and a sunny, sheltered spot—although they can also handle light frosts in most NZ regions. Water regularly through the growing season and feed with a slow-release fertiliser in spring for optimal flowering. Indoors, make sure your plant is near a bright window, but out of direct sun to prevent leaf scorch.
