Tips for Planting and Caring for Bamboo

When you buy bamboo, position your plants in well-draining soil and water regularly during their first season. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Most bamboo varieties benefit from periodic feeding and occasional pruning, especially when used for hedging or screening. With the right start, your bamboo will flourish for years, offering beauty and practical gardening solutions.
