What Makes Bougainvillea Types Unique?

The beauty of bougainvillea lies in its wide range of types—trailing and climbing varieties, large-flowering cultivars, and dwarf selections. Each type boasts distinctive bract colours, such as bold magentas, bright purples, soft pinks, and pure whites. Their adaptability to the New Zealand climate makes these robust plants a prime choice for Mediterranean-style gardens and low-maintenance landscapes. Bougainvillea types also vary in growth habits, with some suited to container gardening and others ideal for covering walls and arches.
