Why Choose Aloe Vera?

Aloe vera is one of the easiest succulents to grow and care for. Thriving in New Zealand’s climate, Aloe vera tolerates dry conditions, making it ideal for low-maintenance gardens, pots, and even bright indoor spaces. Its fleshy, sword-shaped leaves store water, allowing the plant to survive periods of drought. Beyond its good looks, Aloe vera’s gel has been used for generations to soothe burns, moisturise skin, and boost overall wellbeing. When you shop at our aloe vera plant warehouse, you gain access to high-quality plants perfect for functional and ornamental uses.

Our Aloe Vera Selection and Related Succulents

While Aloe vera is a favourite, our succulent collection goes well beyond the basics. If you’re looking to diversify your garden, explore unique varieties like the geometric and stunning Aloe polyphylla or the elegant fan-shaped Aloe plicatilis. For collectors seeking rare species, Aloe hereroensis, Aloe chabaudii, Aloe speciosa, and Aloe alooides offer unusual forms and textures. Pair your Aloe vera with contrasting succulents such as Aeonium arboreum Atropurpureum for dark, dramatic foliage, or try companion plants like Echeveria haagai Tolimanensis and Delosperma 'Violet Wonder' for added colour and variety.

How to Grow Aloe Vera Successfully

Aloe vera thrives with plenty of sunlight, so choose a spot with bright, indirect light or gentle morning sun. Plant it in well-draining soil—cactus or succulent mixes are perfect. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, as overwatering is one of the few pitfalls to avoid. In cooler areas of New Zealand, Aloe vera is happiest as an indoor plant or in sheltered outdoor spots. These care tips will help your Aloe vera flourish, whether you’re growing a single specimen or curating an extensive succulent collection from our aloe vera plant warehouse.
