Ajuga reptans variegata, commonly known as Bugleweed, Common Bugle, or Carpet Bugle, is a quick growing, ground covering plant that features colourful leaves that are variegated green and cream. In spring, it produces showy clusters of blue flowers as it grows to 20 cm tall and 50 cm wide. Ajuga reptans variegata is a great variety for covering large areas quickly and is often used in borders, allowed to spill out over a path, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container.

Vinca minor Illumination is a variety of the commonly known, Periwinkle, and is a popular, evergreen perennial often used as a ground cover. It features variegated leaves that are golden-yellow and edged with green. Purple-blue flowers adorn the plant through spring as it grows to about 15 cm tall and 1 m wide.
