Cercis canadensis Texas White, commonly known as the White Redbud tree, is a small tree grown for its colourful foliage, great form, and lovely flowers. The glossy, heart shaped leaves emerge light green in spring, age to become dark green, then develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. Masses of small, white blossoms are produced as the foliage emerges in spring. It grows with a broad and rounded canopy to about 4.5 m tall and 3.5 m wide. Cercis Texas White is commonly grown as a specimen, used in avenues, planted to border an entrance, or included in a mixed planting.
