Clianthus puniceus Alba, commonly known as White Kakabeak, is a NZ native shrub that produces a flush of stunning, beak like flowers in summer. The showy, white flowers are produced in abundance and are contrasted wonderfully with mid-green foliage as it grows to 3 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Clianthus Alba is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, grown to soften a bland wall, planted around outdoor living areas, maintained in a container, or mass planted for an impressive display.
Cytisus Snow White is a deciduous shrub grown for its pretty flowers and tidy growth habit. Masses of pea like flowers are borne through spring and summer, and transform the plant into a sea of white. The flowers are contrasted beautifully with slender stems that carry small, dark green leaves as it grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Cytisus Snow White is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown as an informal hedge, showcased as a mass planting on a bank, used to brighten a stark corner, or included in “white” gardens.
