The finely cut leaves emerge a deep red-purple in spring, remain this colour through summer, then turn lovely shades of red in autumn before falling. It grows with a broad and rounded habit to about 2.5 m tall and 3.5 m wide. Acer Crimson Queen makes a lovely specimen and is ideal for including in a mixed planting, using to soften a bland wall, or planting anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.
