Hebe Margret bears clusters of lilac-blue flowers that fade to white with age. These are held above the dense, dark green leaves, and affords a lovely contrast. This NZ native grows as a bushy, evergreen shrub to about 40 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. Hebe Margret is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, maintained in a container, included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, or mass planted either on a bank or as a ground cover plant for an effective display.

Hebe Red Edge is a NZ native that features masses of small but pretty, lilac-coloured flowers which gradually fade to white. These are produced through summer and autumn amidst the small and thick, grey-green leaves that emerge purple and have a red margin. This evergreen shrub grows densely with a rounded shape to about 60 cm tall and the same wide.
