Tulbaghia variegata Tricolor is a variety of the commonly known, Society Garlic, and is grown for its showy and fragrant flowers and colourful foliage. Clusters of lilac-pink flowers are borne from summer until autumn on stems that rise above the foliage. These are held above the narrow foliage that is variegated cream and green. This herbaceous perennial grows as a clump to about 30 cm tall and 40 cm wide. Tulbaghia variegata Tricolor is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in borders and herb gardens, maintained in a container, or mass planted for an impressive show.
