Acer palmatum Tamukeyama is an impressive, small, Japanese Maple featuring a rich display of stunning, soft looking foliage held on weeping branches. New leaves emerge red-purple in spring, remain this colour until early autumn, then turn crimson red before falling. It grows with a rounded habit to about 2 m tall and the same wide. Acer Tamukeyama is ideal for growing as a specimen, including in a mixed planting, planting to soften a bland wall, maintaining in a container, or planting around outdoor living areas.
