Magnolia liliiflora Nigra, commonly known as Black Lily, is a stunning tree that bears masses of large and showy, purple flowers from late winter through into summer. Flowering begins on the naked stems before the foliage emerges. It typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide and can easily be contained with trimming.
