Sophora longicarinata is a rare and beautiful NZ native tree belonging to the kowhai family. This evergreen to semi deciduous species is admired for its finely divided leaves and masses of golden yellow flowers that appear in spring, attracting native birds such as tui and bellbirds. Naturally found in limited areas of NZ, it makes a stunning specimen tree, adding both ecological value and ornamental appeal to gardens, lifestyle blocks, and revegetation projects.

Fagus sylvatica Purpurea
Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea', commonly known as the Copper Beech Tree, grows as a stately, deciduous tree with a broad and spreading crown of colourful, purple foliage. The glossy leaves emerge deep purple in spring, age to purple-green in summer, then develop copper tones in autumn before falling. Left untrimmed, it will grow to about 25 m tall and 18 m wide. Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea' makes for a lovely specimen, with mature specimens making a dramatic statement in the landscape and providing great summer shade. It is also commonly used for avenue planting, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, or added to a mixed planting in a large garden.
