
Magnolia grandiflora Teddy Bear, commonly known as the Magnolia Teddy Bear Tree, is a variety of Southern Magnolia, and is an evergreen tree with spectacular flowering and foliage. It produces large and showy, white flowers through summer amidst the lush, dark green foliage. It grows densely with a conical shape to about 6 m tall and 3 m wide and can be contained with trimming. Magnolia Teddy Bear makes for a fantastic specimen tree, and is commonly included in a mixed planting, used to border an entrance, planted to soften a bland wall, or planted as a cluster.

Magnolia loebneri Leonard Messel is a popular, deciduous tree due to its impressive flowering and lush foliage. Purple buds open to reveal large and showy, pink flowers in spring. The fragrant flowers are borne on naked stems, just before the foliage emerges. This tree grows compactly with a vase shape to about 6 m tall and 4 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Magnolia Leonard Messel is a prized Magnolia variety that is commonly added to a mixed planting, grown as a specimen, included in cottage gardens, or used a stunning backdrop for smaller plants.
