Albizia julibrissin 'Rosea' is a variety of the commonly known Silk Tree, and is grown for its soft, fern-like foliage and clusters of long-lasting, fluffy, rose-red flowers in summer and extends until autumn. The foliage is mid-green, and the sensitive leaflets close up when touched and at night. This tree grows with a vase-shaped habit, producing a flattened, spreading crown as it reaches 6 m in height and 4 m in width. Albizia Rosea is commonly used as a specimen in medium to large-sized gardens, as a backdrop for smaller plants, in avenue plantings, or to provide shade around the barbecue and other living areas.
