Cercis chinensis Avondale
Cercis chinensis Avondale, commonly known as the Chinese Redbud trees or the Avondale Redbud, is a small tree grown for its lovely flowers and distinctive foliage. The dark green leaves on this deciduous tree have a prominent heart shape and as winter approaches, they develop a yellow tone before falling. Before the foliage emerges in spring, the tree is adorned with clusters of dark pink blossoms. It grows with a broad and rounded canopy to about 4.5 m tall and 3.5 m wide. Cercis Avondale is commonly used as a specimen tree, planted to line an avenue or border an entrance, added to cottage gardens, or included in a mixed planting if space affords.

Cornus Greenvale
Cornus Greenvale is a small, deciduous tree grown for its showy and long-lasting flowers. Masses of the large, light green flowers are borne through spring and summer. It grows with a broad and dense habit to about 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide carrying dark green leaves which develop colourful orange and red tones in autumn before falling. Cornus Greenvale makes an excellent specimen and is great for including in a mixed planting, including in cottage gardens, or for planting around outdoor living areas.
