Tiny flowers are produced in abundance through spring and are followed by purple-black berries. This evergreen typically grows to 8 m tall and 4 m wide. Melicytus ramiflorus is commonly used in coastal gardens, included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, trimmed into a hedge, or used in revegetation programs.
