Lavender Major is a popular variety of Lavender that grows as a compact shrub and carries masses of small, light purple flower spikes from spring through summer. The foliage is grey-green and complements the darker flowers nicely as it grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide. Lavender Major is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in mixed plantings and borders, trimmed into a hedge, or grown in a container.
