Prunus Okame is a variety of Flowering Cherry that features masses of fragrant, pink blossoms in early spring. The pretty flowers are borne before the leaves emerge and turn the tree into a spectre of colour. The leaves emerge light green, age to become a darker green, then develop colourful orange and red tones in autumn before falling. It grows with a broad and rounded habit to about 10 m tall and 6 m wide. Prunus Okame is a stunning tree when in flower and is commonly grown as a specimen.
