Cyanotis somaliensis, commonly known as the Kittens Ears Plant, is an evergreen perennial grown for its soft-looking and colourful foliage. Trailing stems host small green leaves that have a fury edge and are held densely. Clusters of mauve-coloured flowers are produced in summer as it grows to 15 cm tall and 40 cm wide. Cyanotis somaliensis is commonly grown as a potted plant indoors and is well suited to office environments. It can be grown outdoors where conditions favour.

Brunfelsia Blue Moon, commonly known as the Yesterday Today and Tomorrow Flower, features masses of sweetly fragrant, pansy like flowers are produced through spring and summer which literally transforms the plant. Most interestingly though, the flowers open blue-violet then fade to lavender before finally turning white. It grows as a rounded cushion of leathery, green leaves to about 1.2 m tall and 2 m wide.
