It is a creeping and somewhat fleshy plant bearing small, purple-green, fern-like leaves. Small, yellow flowers are borne through spring and summer amidst the foliage. It typically grows to 10 cm tall and 70 cm wide. Leptinella pusilla is a great plant to use as a low groundcover, for planting between rocks and pavers, using in tropical gardens, or planting around pool areas.

Dichondra Emerald Falls is an herbaceous perennial grown for its cascading, green foliage and ground hugging nature. This plant produces small and rounded, green leaves which are held on slender stems. It has a true cascading habit and will trail up to 50 cm and grows to just 10 cm tall.
