Howea forsteriana, commonly known as the Kentia Palm, is a popular and elegant Palm tree. It has a thin and slender trunk which hosts feathery and drooping fronds. The trunk is originally dark green but ages to brown. It is relatively slow growing but will eventually reach 10 m tall and 6 m wide. Howea forsteriana is commonly grown as an indoor plant, used in tropical and pool gardens, planted around entranceways, grown as a specimen, or included in a mixed planting.

Choosing the correct Palm tree fertiliser is essential for producing better quality foliage, stronger fronds, and a much healthier and brighter looking plant. The Plant Company’s Palm Tree fertiliser has been specifically blended to give 12-months of continuous nutrition and give the tree an initial boost with all right nutrients. Use The Plant Company Indoor Plant Fertiliser for container grown Palms. One kg of fertiliser will adequately fertilise 12 trees for one year. Slightly higher rates can safely be used on large specimens or where you think fertility is low.
