Dysoxylum spectabile, commonly known as Kohekohe or the NZ Mahogany, is a NZ native tree that grows up to 10 m tall and 4 m wide. It forms a rounded crown of large and glossy, green leaves held densely and produces clusters of fragrant, white flowers through autumn and winter which result in orange fruits. Dysoxylum spectabile is commonly grown as a specimen in parks and larger gardens, included in native and revegetation plantings, or simply planted to attract birds.
Coprosma Scarlett O’Hara, commonly known as Mirror Bush, is a NZ native shrub that carries small and glossy, dark red and orange variegated foliage. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Coprosma Scarlett O’Hara is often used as a hedge, added to mixed plantings, included in coastal gardens, or planted around pool and barbecue areas.
