The flowers are complemented with glossy, dark green leaves which serve as a lovely backdrop to the flowers as it grows to 5 m tall and 2.5 m wide. Hoheria sextylosa is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in revegetation programs, planted as a quick growing shelter tree, included in riparian plantings, or grown as a specimen.
