Hoheria populnea Purple Wave, commonly known as Purple Lacebark, is a quick growing, small, NZ native tree that features colourful foliage. The serrated leaves have a green topside and a purple underside, and are held densely on slender branches. The tree becomes smothered in white, blossom like flowers through summer as it grows to 5 m tall and 2.5 m wide.
