Dysoxylum spectabile, commonly known as Kohekohe or the NZ Mahogany, is a NZ native tree that grows up to 10 m tall and 4 m wide. It forms a rounded crown of large and glossy, green leaves held densely and produces clusters of fragrant, white flowers through autumn and winter which result in orange fruits. Dysoxylum spectabile is commonly grown as a specimen in parks and larger gardens, included in native and revegetation plantings, or simply planted to attract birds.
Olearia lineata, commonly known as the Tree Daisy, is a bushy, evergreen NZ native tree renowned for its fine, grey, willowy foliage. It produces clusters of small, white, fragrant flowers from November to January.
